Lead Project Management Quality Specialist at GE

Role Summary

Support Project Management team for excellent execution. Be the reference for Quality & Excellence culture, process and tools within Project Office. Ensure compliance to all requirements from Project Management process and GE standards. Foster Quality Assurance in all execution areas. Assure we fulfill all contractual commitments provided to the Customer.

Essential Responsibilities:

At Project Launch:


  • Read, understand and analyze the Project Contract in terms of QA/QC.
  • Provide the Contract QA/QC requirements to the Project Team and support Function Kick-Off meetings to ensure that all Contract specific requirements are transmitted to all stakeholders (Suppliers, GE2GE, …).
  • Define the Project specific processes and documents as per Contract Requirements and/or to meet Customer requirements.
  • Consolidate lessons learned from previous projects in order to make them actionable to prevent issues.
  • Define with Project Director the strategy for Quality Assurance.
  • Issue the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan and get them approved by the Customer. Ensure communication to and use by the Functions
  • During Project Execution:
  • Implement, support, monitor compliance with project processes & tools (PGR, DMS, NCR/CoQ)
  • Prepare and Coordinate with Customer and Supply Chain quality Inspections as per ITP to obtain full approval and follow-up of punch points.
  • Manage the Databook (project quality records) preparation and delivery, assuring compliance with customer requirements: track, submit timely & get approval by the Customer.
  • Monitor project process performance on periodic basis (Lagging metrics: VoC score, Escaping defects, Cost of Non Quality)
  • and implement/lead appropriate actions to improve results.
  • Lead the VoC process, making sure we receive periodic answers from the customer and treat them accordingly.
  • Ensure relevance of all non-conformities including cost of non-quality data related to the Project.
  • Support Project Director for the analysis & management of Cost of non-quality, the related claim process, curative and containment, corrective and preventive actions associated.
  • Obtain Customer approval of Non Conformity curative plan when relevant.
  • Gather, analyze, circulate feedback to the organization (VoC, LL, Close Out)
  • Site Preparation:
  • Adapt to the project all best practices for execution at site erection phase. Support Site Preparation Leader/Site Manager for the preparation of all resources needed for excellent execution at site, including trainings, personal qualifications, proper information, etc.
  • Site execution:* (*if no Site Quality Technician):
  • Ensure execution as per GE requirements (valid documents, control plan)
  • Ensure qualification of staff & maintenance of tools, (calibration, parameter recording, qualifications for measurement, welding, painting…)
  • Ensure quality records are done as per control plan and support coordination with 3rd party/customer
  • Perform process audits at site* (*by PQE yearly or as per need, even if Site Quality Technician), including but not limited to:
  • Control and distribution of documents
  • Control of measurement and tests devices
  • Storage and preservation
  • Welding process
  • Painting process
  • Material traceability
  • Personal qualifications for special processes
  • Quality records
  • Support the preparation of documents to protect GE in case of third party claims.
  • Ensure the execution of the process from Red Mark to As-Build documentation.

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Mechanical, Electrical or similar bachelor degree from accredited school.
  • Solid experience in Quality or Project Management
  • Fluent English
  • Advanced French
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Rigor for compliance

Role Purpose:

The Program Development Coordinator will work with the Head of Program Development to proactively seek out and disseminate information on new funding opportunities;
cultivate excellent relationships with donor agencies, partners and SC Members;and
coordinate the development of both humanitarian as well as large-scale, complex funding proposals in order to maintain and increase the country office’s funding portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience


  • Advanced degree in an area of international studies, social development or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive work experience in fundraising environment
  • Substantial and proven experience of coordinating the development of/writing winning proposals with key institutional donors (including DFID, ECHO, European Commission, NORAD)
  • Excellent writing/editing skills and budget development skills, with high attention to detail
  • Highly developed interpersonal, presentation and communication skills to work effectively with other team members/departments, as well as influence, inform and negotiate with partners and donors
  • Sound personal organisational skills, including time management, ability to meet deadlines, multi- tasking, prioritisation of tasks, and working under pressure
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, have confidence, take initiative and be a self-motivated, enthusiastic team player as well as individual contributor
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, required.

Business Intelligence Analyst, Twiga Foods


Twiga Foods is a social impact enterprise that connects rural farmers to urban retailers in informal markets. Twiga is built around a simple notion, if you have efficient logistics, you can build a marketplace that pays farmers more and delivers to vendors quality produce at a lower price. 

The business intelligence analyst shall oversee development, deployment, and maintenance of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting interfaces. This include query tools, data visualization and interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, and data modelling tools This role shall therefore be three layered as shown below:

 At the data source layer, he/she shall be required to guide the data engineers on the schema in which he needs 3rd party data sources to be stored given that most data are already archived in a data warehouse.

At the warehouse layer he/she shall be required to have working knowledge of technologies that facilitate both warehousing and tools for performing Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL)  with the aim of creating single version of truth, accessing business data from one place and standardizing data in a coherent format.

At the reporting layer which is the actual BI interface that allows users to access data, the BI Developer and Analyst shall be required to have strong analytical capabilities in Data Studio, Power BI and Excel to fulfil business reporting requirements

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex quantitative analyses and translate results into meaningful business insights.
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable interactive management reports and dashboards for various departments to visualize and measure Key Performance Indicators.
  • Work with data engineers to integrate new datasets that can be leveraged through the business operations.
  • Undertake ad-hoc data requests to meet changing business needs.
  • Develop reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision making.
  • Use warehouse data to generate reports to support business decision making and business performance monitoring.
  • Evaluate and improving existing BI dashboards.
  • Work with BI Technical Lead in creating technical documentation for all BI Dashboards and reports.
Requirements
  • A Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling) and data mining, i.e. Big Query
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
  • Advanced proficiency with BI technologies i.e. Data Studio, Microsoft Power BI
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Business analysis skills to help set precise requirements for future analytics framework and make the right strategic decisions.
  • Debugging/troubleshooting skills given that each stage of designing, developing, and maintaining BI dashboards requires strong troubleshooting skills around security issues, data access, permissions, updates, and maintenance of the whole BI platform.
  • Experience with BI tools by either developing or configuring existing ones. Solid understanding of all the underlying infrastructure required for data integration tools, ETL/ELT processes, data formatting, and warehouse architecture.
  • Industry experience as a BI Developer or Analyst.
