FINANCE OFFICER (EMERGENCY INTERVENTION)
9 month fixed term position
The position:
Finance officer will support the finance team during the period of the emergency drought intervention to ensure adherence to quality financial stewardship, internal control and compliance with Audit requirements for the Somalia Programme.The position has a key focus on financial document review and data capture of financial operations and reporting related to the emergency interventions. This position is Nairobi based.
Competencies:
- The candidate must have at least a Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized University in addition to a CPA (III) or ACCA Level II. A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role is essential.
- The candidate should also be computer literate with excellent knowledge and ability to use advanced and computerized accounting systems.
- Other desirable skills include strong analytical skills, ability to prepare and present concise and accurate financial reports, strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan, organize and implement various activities within a time-pressured environment.
- The holder should be a good communicator, both verbal and written, as well as have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
