Head Cook at a Government Guest House in Garissa

Applicants are invited for the above position at a government guest house in Garissa.

Applicants must be Kenyan aged between 25-35 years and have the following qualifications

• KCSE D+ (plus) with C- in mathematics and C- in English language
• Diploma in food and production from a recognized institution or a certificate with work experience of 5-10 years.
• Knowledge of costing and control, communications skills are mandatory
• Previous experience of five (5) years and above in the tourist and middle class hotels are necessary
• Must have good management skills

Salary scale attached to the post and benefits will be:

• Basic salary of ksh 15,000 per month, with yearly increment of kshs 500 per month
• Free housing at the guest house compound
• Annual leave of 30 working days

This post is a challenging position which calls for total commitment to work. The appointment will be on a one (1) year contract basis renewable depending on performance.
