Production Manager/Agronomist at Carzan Flowers in Naivasha, Kenya

Carzan is a leading producer and exporter of cut flowers. We are looking for a qualified person to fill the above position within our group.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following broad areas:

• Designing of suitable fertilizer/ fertigation programs.
• Formulation of effective spray programs.
• In charge of field trials.
• Implementation and adherence to good agronomic practices.
• Plan correct irrigation systems and procedures

The candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• University degree/Post graduate degree in either of the following: Agriculture, Soil Science, Agronomy, Plant Nutrition
• Be able interpret and evaluate results from leaf, soil and water analyses in order to formulate recommendations relevant to farm conditions.
• Must be familiar with market trends as it concerns inputs such as fertilizers, chemicals.
• Possess excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven competency in designing and implementing field trials.
• At least 6 years working experience at a senior management level in similar position
• Possess initiative and self-drive to be able to work under minimum supervision and be result-oriented.
