The Kenya Institute of Supplies Management was established under the Supplies Practitioners Management Act, 2007. The Institute is managed by a Council composed of procurement and supply chain management professionals and draws membership from the private, public, and other sectors. The functions of the Institute and its associated Statutory Committees and Board include setting standards, training, registration, licensing, discipline, provision of membership services and promotion of the profession of procurement and supply chain management in Kenya.
To position KISM in a strategic position to grow the profession, the Institute of looking for suitably qualified professionals in the following position.
CORPORATE SERVICES OFFICER
Core Functions
- Manages the communications and public relations functions of the institute
- Development and implementation of marketing strategies
- Development and management of the institutes publicity and marketing tools
- Liaison with key stakeholders and partners
- Support to revenue generation and/or fundraising initiatives
- Performs tasks related to above core functions as required
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a degree in Communications or Marketing or the in social sciences
- Added advantage: Professional certification in procurement and supply
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position;
- Demonstrated knowledge of document, data management and presentation software
- Demonstrated planning and organizing skills;
- Ability to coordinate and work well with others, sharing workloads and, work independently.;
- Analytical thinking skills and keen judgment;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of internal and external customers in a professional manner
