We have launched one clinic in Nairobi this year, and plan to expand to other locations in the region.

Job Summary
Jacaranda is seeking a Data Coordinator to report to our Finance and Impact Evaluation Director.
This individual will work closely with the director and our clinical staff to design and maintain a robust data management system.
This includes creating and entering data in electronic databases to track:
- Client contact and demographic information
- Client health outcomes, medical records and visits to our in- and out-patient facilities
- Marketing information (calls, campaigns or surveys directed to our clients)
- HR information
- Financial information (costs associated to all marketing, clinical or other operations)
- We are looking for an intelligent, proactive, and flexible individual with experience managing large databases, project management skills and great attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Design the data management system to track operational and financial indicators
- Enter data into the electronic management system
- Audit the quality of the data
- Re-enter data as necessary and change data entry processes to improve data quality
- Create and supervise processes of tracking and data entry by frontline staff (receptionists, nurses)
- Create data reports to be presented to internal and external audiences
- Perform basic administration of Jacaranda IT resources
- Attend to other administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ proven experience managing large databases; experience in a health care setting is a definite plus, but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google products in particular Excel; familiarity with database management programs (e.g. Access) is a plus, but not required.
- Applicant to be tested on practical Excel applications during the interview
- High attention to detail and analytical skills required
- Proactive, self-starter and team-oriented; able to multi-task effectively and manage competing priorities in a typical start-up environment
- Dependable and upholding highest level of honesty and confidentiality
- Fluent in English and Kiswahili
