We are a non-governmental organization based in Nairobi with an extensive network of operations countrywide.

We urgently seek to fill the following vacancy in the establishment with dynamic and result oriented individuals.

Job Description:

Reporting to Systems Administrator, the officer will be responsible for ensuring timely availability and reliability of required information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capturing data and inputting in the computer
  • Preparing information as per approved procedures
  • Updating stocks accounts as per approved procedures
  • Posting transaction to appropriate accounts as per approved procedures
  • Generating reports on stock balances
  • Generating reports as and when required
  • Knowledge and skills required:
  • Must be a holder of a minimum qualifications of KCSE C
  • Must posses Diploma/Certificate in Information Technology from a recognized institution

Statistician/Data Entry Clerk

MSF Switzerland (MSFCH) is a humanitarian medical organization providing emergency medical aid to populations in need. At present, MSFCH operates in three programmes locations in Kenya, Somalia and Sudan

Location: Dagahaley, Dadaab Refugee Camp
Start date: as soon as possible
Type of contract: 1 year (with possibility of extension)


Main Tasks:
  • Ensure timely collection and compilation of accurate morbidity, mortality and pharmacy data
  • Enter medical data into the mission database
  • Maintain a smooth and accurate data processing database for the medical department
  • Ensure good quality of data produced
  • Identify issues arising in the database and medical reporting tools (both at Capital and field level)
  • Follow up on any omissions of data submitted from all the project sites
  • Reports immediately to the line manager any problem arising with data provided or database
  • Ensure proper storage and archiving of data.
  • Ensure compliance to MSF guidelines, standards, policies and procedures for the mission
Requirements:
  • Diploma in statistics or data entry
  • Demonstrated skills in report writing
  • Experience in an NGO will be an added advantage
  • Excellent computer skills – Excel, Word, E-mail and Internet
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • At least 1 year experience in a clerical position with exposure to figures and computerised data entry.

  • Good team player.
  • Motivated with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new working methods.
